Unfortunately my camera batteries died before I was able to get pictures of us trick-or-treating or the block party that went on until 4am. The above pictures were from our ward trunk-or-treat which was also totally fun. Then, on Halloween we had a block party with our neighbors and went trick-or-treating. The block party had tons of great food and drinks. We have a neighbor who makes his own beer so he brought some concoctions for the neighbors and included in his recipes some root beer for the kids and the mormons! There was also hot chocolate with marshmallow eye balls, deviled eyes (eggs with olives), eyeball cake pops, meatballs, cookies, chili, turkey fingers, mummy dogs, chips, pretzels, mini pizza, popcorn, crackers, witches brooms, and a veggie tray. It was awesome, we pretty much just ate all night long, everything was SOOO good! And just for the record, we took our kids in at 11:00, but we discovered the next morning that they stayed out until 4! We have such great neighbors, and we always have fun together.

season for thanks
Nicole has inspired me to do a post a day for a month. She just finished her month of blogging and I think she's on to something. Since this is our month to be extra grateful, I am going to try to think of something to be thankful for every day through the end of the month.

Today I am thankful for beautiful, healthy girls who look so darn cute dressed up as princesses. And of course, for our cute little Carlie bug, appropriately dressed to demostrate her nickname.

Such cute kids! Sounds like you guys had a great halloween with your great neighbors.
I like your idea of a gratitude post every day. What a great way to focus on the positive. :)
