Our Baby is HERE!!!

She's HERE!!! Our little one has finally arrived and we are so blessed to have her. Christine was admitted to the hospital yesterday at about 3:50 p.m. for her scheduled C-section. We were very excited and couldn't hardly believe that our day was here. After many sleepless nights for Christine, she was finally anxious to see the baby and get some well needed rest. For those of you who don't know, we have been struggling to choose a name for this little girl since we found out we were expecting. We've honestly passed back and forth over 50 names that we've liked, but hadn't settled on one. Just before going into the hospital, we were able to narrow it down to about 9. No really, that is how many we were dealing with!!
However, just before going into the operating room, both Christine and I felt that we would name our little one Carlie. After meeting her, we did waiver a little bit trying to make sure we had the right name. Then after a few minutes of calling her Carlie, it just felt right. However, the middle name has seemed to be as evasive as the first, but after an evening of pondering we've finally settled on Rae. Carlie weighed in at 8 lbs. 9 oz. and 21 inches long. She is by far the biggest baby we've had. We owe the photos above to Dr. Church, Christine's anethesiologist, who was wonderful. We found out that he also went to BYU-Idaho when it was called Rick's College so we had a lot to talk about. Christine and I were greatful for that seeing as talking about our school experience helped to take Christine's mind off of the operation. After little Carlie was born, I took a few photos and a small video with the camera to capture some of her earlier moments. Then......the batteries failed! But, thanks to Dr. Church, he sent one of the nurses out 'stat' to grab an extra set he had in his bag. He then proceeded to take some family photos for us, which have been some of the best shots we've had with the little one.
After getting settled in our room, we were able to take a few cute pictures of our little Carlie and we felt that this one was special. The nurses at the hosptial were great and when the bundle her up, she just looks like the cutest FedEx package we've ever seen.
Thanks to Seth and Caroline as well as Grandma and Papa for watching Lucy and Megan for us during the night. After a little while, we were able to bring them to the hospital and as you can see, they approve of and are very excited for their little sister. Welcome to our family Carlie Rae Jardine, we've been expecting you!!!!
