first day

Yes, it's true. The time has come to send my little birdie out of the nest and pray her wings are strong enough to carry her back home.

That feels too dramatic. Lucy just started school. 1/2 day kindergarten, at a great school we have been very excited about.


These smiling faces have no idea they're about to lose their best playmate for 3 whole hours!

We are trying to walk in the morning, the afternoon is still way too hot. Lucy and her buddy Kayla couldn't wait to get to school. We had to keep yelling at them to stop and wait for us!
This picture is so funny. I promise Kayla was excited about school too! Lucy was/is very nervous about making friends, Kayla has been a huge help in that. Going together and leaving together seems to make it a little easier. At Lucy's school there is one 1/2 day kindergarten class with 6 girls and 13 boys! How fun!
