Arizona Diamondbacks Fan Fest

Lucy, Megan and I had the chance yesterday to attend the Arizona Diamondbacks Fan Fest with Seth, Luke, Chris (one of my co-workers) and his two daughters. I didn't know this, but Seth let me know while we were on our way to the stadium that it really is a season ticket promoting event. Needless to say, we didn't buy any season tickets....sorely tempted, but we figured that $9,200 per seat for front row was a little out of our price range. Also, who has time to attend all 82 home games!!! Anyway, we went and had a great time and the kids enjoyed time with daddy.

Megan wasn't quite sure we were allowed to walk in there, but after a little coaxing, she realized we were "Authorized Personnel."
While we were there, we had the chance to tour the D-backs dugout, sit on the bench where the players sit, see their batting cages under the stadium and walk through the locker room. The kids had a fun time and just being on the field in that massive stadium was quite a thrill. The HD screen that is over 100 feet wide at Chse Field is something else!! As you can see from the picture above, Lucy wasn't as impressed with sitting in the dugout as with some of the other fun things available. Megan also gave daddy a courtesy smile for the days effort.
They had a section on the field that was dedicated to kids for sliding and playing on the huge blow-up toys. I realized that if we were to leave without giving the kids an opportunity, I would not have received more than a C+ grade on our daddy-daughter time. From the moment we got on the field, Megan couldn't take her eyes of the slides and large blow-up castle. To cap it all off, we ate a couple of ballpark hot dogs and hit up McDonalds for ice cream cones on the way home. All in all, we had a great time!

Looks like you guys had a wonderful time! Adam, you are so blessed to have a house full of such beautiful girls. Glad to see you're adjusting well to 3 kids... we found that it was pretty tough, being outnumbered and all, but it looks like you guys are doing great! xoxo
