a birthday for the carlie bug

In case you missed it, our sweet Carlie turned one this week. What a great year it has been! She has truly been the angel baby in all aspects of her life. Now she is teething-- and how does the angel baby teethe? She pats her mouth, gives a short little cry, and reaches out to be picked up, then snuggles into your neck while you pat her back.

Here is the birthday girl the morning of her big day. . .

And Ma sent some money. . . look at that face, she knows the value of a dollar!

And this was our family party that night, I had an appointment that night so we didn't get started until about 8:30, angel baby was exhausted but perked up when we added a little sugar!

It's been a great year getting to know Carlie. We love her very much! She has an iron stomach and will eat anything and everything we feed her. She started walking on Christmas day and is getting super fast! She seems to be "talking" to us all the time, I can't wait until she has more words to use to communicate! She loves her sisters and laughs with them all the time. She thinks Meg is the funniest person ever. Lucy is a big help getting Carlie what she needs. We had a great birthday party and love celebrating this little sweetheart!
