LUCY
Finished first grade with a BANG! She completed a report on Peacocks and recieved a perfect score, even on the oral presentation! This is kind of a big deal for Lucy, because her public speaking voice is very quiet and she gets so shy (which is freaking adorable, by the way), but she did awesome! Her teacher commented on how well she could hear her.
AND. . . she finished as the TOP READER in her class! I was able to go help with AR this year, and I couldn't be prouder. Her teacher was surprised, because she hasn't been the top all year, but by the end her score was the highest. She finished a 112 page book in 3 days this week, to prove her stellar reading abilities.
MEGAN
is our little dancing queen. Her recital was yesterday, she danced ballet to O Danny Boy. I cried. Seriously. She is so beautiful on the dance floor! Her studio has talked to me a few times about putting her in company (they travel, perform more, take 3-4 classes a week) which she would love, but I'm a little hesitant to let dancing take over her life yet! Plus it is super expensive. Still her dance teacher wants to move her up and skip a level of ballet because she is doing so well. As a 5 year old she will be dancing with 6 and 7 year olds, most who have been dancing 2 or 3 extra years. Way to go little dancer!
CARLIE
cannot wait to start preschool! She has now learned all her letters and all her numbers and is counting to 20 WITHOUT skipping any numbers. At this stage Meg and Lucy both had numbers they skipped EVERY time they counted, so I think it's awesome! She is a crack up, seriously, the things this kid comes up with keep us laughing every day!
SAMUEL
got his first hair cut today! Does anyone else find it funny that my only boy is the one with long enough hair for clips before the ago of 1? Anyway, it was becoming a little mulletty, so we trimmed it. Isn't he so handsome?

It is great to hear how well your kids are doing. Parents should be proud of their children. I don't think there is anything wrong with that. Wow, Megan sounds like a good little ballerina. That makes her aunt proud. Do you have any dance clips of her recital?
